General information about our shipping
Needed a replacement fork for my Banshee Spitfire as my previous RS Pike has worn bushings and some wear to one stanchion. So far, after a couple of testing rides, the Yari is proving to be a better fork than the Pike, and the increased stiffness is obvious. Recommended fork - basically a budget Lyrik with 95% of the performance.
Exactly what it says on the tin. Great plush feeling fork, easy to fit and a breeze to set up. Delighted
This is a an excellent performing fork even when compared to the Charger Damper equipped Lyrik. I have it on my '16 Canfield Balance with a coil out back. It saves me from my mistakes more often than not. It is taking some getting used to as I came from a long-legged hardtail that I would try to keep up with my riding buddies on FS bikes (Tracer 275c and Scott Genius LT). I don't worry about slowing down for rock gardens as much as I did on my hardtail and has made riding much easier on me at the end of the day. I bought this with the intention of riding it for a season and then switch out the damper to an Avalanche Cartridge. I still intend to do so during the offseason once it is time to service it. I will have a custom tuned Yari with all the all the benefits of the Lyrik for about $100 US more. This fork cannot be beat for the price if you plan on riding harder than a Revelation can handle and want an alternative to a Pike/Lyrik/Stage. Another cheap upgrade I am considering for this season is the Vorsprung LuftKappe for about $100. It eliminates the Rockshox mid-stoke wallow by increasing the negative air chamber. A fix Rockshox did for the 2018 Pike. I like to mess with stuff and I have never tried an aftermarket damper. Buy this fork here while it is ridiculously cheap while you can because it will take you anywhere without killing your bike fund.
I upgraded to these from a 2014 Rockshox Like Dual Position fork. In comparison the Yari is a stiffer fork, and more progressive. Compared to the Like it is a bit harsher, on big descents I have had more arm pump with these but generally they perform excellently, especially taking the price into account. The main downside is the Torque Cap dropouts. They don't have proper slots for normal axles so you have to line the axle up yourself, like on an old 135x12 rear axle.
