Mr houlston Great product-light , tough, easy to fit, does exactly what it’s meant to!
Mr Hollis Superb product - light as a feather and it really does work well. Our 3 E-MTB's have them.
Mr Davidson Perfect for the back of my Pinnacle Hybrid and it works really well, virtually no splashes on my back at all. Great value for money and easy to fix. I managed to get my little pouch fitted over the top of the mudguard too and even that now stays clean on a wet or muddy day.
Simon Buckley this was my third attempt at getting a suitable mudguard for a 29er. had a very old crud one (quickly realised it was designed for 26" bikes, bought another cheap one which was pointless (not from Merlin, or Crud), but after already buying the front Crud XL fender (which is also amazing), i got this......virtually a splatter free ride first go. if you're hesitating, don't and Merlin customer services/dispatch are top notch too
Timotei51 Massive rear mudgaurd will definitely keep my back dry.
Alan Never really liked mudguards but this product looks great and keeps me clean 👍🏻
Malcolm Excellent fender which I fitted to my Wilier Endura - excellent quality - thanks
Mr Amenabar What to say? I bought it with the front fender so I’ll just say the same...Excellent built and work very well. Tried it on some very wet terrain it was perfect.
Mr Wilson Bought to replace my non xl one, works much better with the 650b bike, recommend.
Tom Had the 26" one for years and I finally decided that I needed more coverage. This does the job perfectly. Crud have also improved the quick release mount so it's more a bit tighter to remove. This means that unlike my old 26" ones, it doesn't un-clip itself over bumpy/rough ground
Andy P Beans on the tin, beans in the tin! This is a large mudguard for 29" wheels that provides great protection and is super light. I haven't yet used in winter mud but it worked well during a recent wet period and I came home mud free! Only criticism is you have to have to connect to the top end of a dropping post as the clamp/collar isn't big enough to go around the fixed part of the dropper post, which is a shame as you could angle it to avoid wheel contact even on a full susser. It has plenty of collar spacers so I'm sure it will fit most bikes. It will keep you clean n dry - what's not to like?
Mr Phelps Seems an ok product, does occasionally bounce but it is kind of expected considering the length, I have a issue with mine as the clip that retains the uppermost part of the fender constantly manages to disconnect from the fender (so the lowest part of the bracket is only holding the entire fender) which makes it bounce around on the back... very irritating. I'll give it 7/10 considering that problem, it's a shame as I have the front XL fender and that is an amazing piece of kit which receives 10/10 without question. Shame the quality on the rear fender is not equal to the quality of the front fender.
