Mr IGLESIASThe no nonsense quality you would expect from 105. Good enough for anyone serious about the sport but not so much as to break the bank. Truly the sweet spot in price/performance.
BarbaShimano 105 is always a good mid-range component. Definitely a must have upgrade (if you have lower-end Shimano).
S DawsonReally good value for money a massive upgrade from Shimano Claris, click crisply into gear. Comes with new gear and brake cables.
ChemaGreat upgrade option for those who are moving from 10 to 11 speed, I just added a cassette and chain also. This upgrade is working very well with current 105 10 speed cranks, no issues at all. The price is just unbeatable and service from Merlin as always outstanding
Bradley BleckThese are being used as a replacement for my son's bike (or, my road bike number three, depending upon how things go) which had Dura Ace 9-speed before I had these installed. The shifting is much easier, getting two more gears is awesome, and the feel is so much smoother. Plus, the price was insanely cheap. With great prices like I paid, even my local shop can't get mad it me for buying from Merlin. And shipping to the USA West Coast (Spokane) was less than a week. Great product. great price, and great service. Brilliant in every way.
Mr WasherUpgraded from the generic shimano stuff which came with my road bike. Shifting performance is really amazingly better - so smooth throughout. Levers are nicely designed with all the right contact points. Hoods are comfortable, and the rubber is much nicer feeling than the cheaper levers I had before. Importantly, for me, the cables exit under the bar tape, which gives a much cleaner look. Rear mech setup was a little tricky - takes a bit of fiddling to get the tension setup just right so you can shift across the whole cassette easily, but once setup the shifts are so quick it has taken some getting used to to only shift the lever a small amount for a single gear. Front shifting is remarkably easy too - the new front mech design is apparently not a gimick... and the trim position in the big ring is subtle, but just enough to make the difference.
WoltersGreat quality shifting from Shimano with not much more weight than Ultregra. I have a full 6800 bike and the quality shifting is very similar.
Mista CycristLove the new 105 stuff. Perfect shifting.
RDGreat value - cheapest I could find anywhere and delivery service spot on. All parts arrived before orders from 2 other online providers placed at same time and on same standard delivery service. I'm a Merlin convert! As for 105 set itself, so far so good. Shifting perfect and quiet - a very big difference to the ultegra kit that was 6 yrs old it was replacing. Should have made the leap sooner.... no regrets at all
