Mr Stanke I purchased this saddle for a re-build of a 1993 Bianchi Forza. I really like the classic looks, and the color matches the gum rubber brake hoods. BTW, the saddle is comfortable too, at least for the distances I ride this particular bike.
Mr Sayers I previously bought a smooth Turbo from Merlin for an 80's Puch but this time I thought I'd try the nubuck. This is for a 1979 Bianchi Superleggera. I'm not sure why but the nubuck feels even more comfortable. These Turbo reproduction saddles are reasonably priced and remind me why I loved them in the 80's.
Bill Just what I had hoped. I wore out three of these racing in the '80's and they still sit just right on the '86 ALAN Carbonio.
Mr Moore Have had this saddle before. It's a great saddle good looking and comfortable and reasonably priced. This site had the cheapest one I could find online and even tho it cam from the UK and I'm in the US it didn't take too long to arrive.
bridger I had been looking for a really good saddle for years and had been using a male Saddle which wasn't right, very unconfortable as I am female. I still wanted to keep a sleek looking bike preferring male saddles. My friend recommended me the selle Italia turbo 1980 which I ordered from Merlin cycles , unfortunately before I could even take it for my second ride it was stolen from my bike! I would still recommend this saddle to other riders it's comfortable for female riders as well, the suede finish looks lovely.
Alby I raced with this particular saddle in the 80's until I had a bad fall and tore it too Ribbons. When I tried to get another one I had no luck as they had been discontinued. Much to my surprise I found they had been making them again so promptly bought one. I had my first ride on it Today about 40 Miles and it was like I remember very comfortable and still fits well, it doesn't feel like I haven't sat on one in over 25 Years or so. Good quality and well made. It might not suit everyone but it definitely works for me. The most pleasant surprise is that it's cheaper now than when I bought my first one in the 80's.
Bubba My old Turbo gave me 25 years of life and hopefully this one will too. It looks identical to the original and after 60 miles of riding feels just as comfy as the original. Great price and fast shipping from Merlin. It was a lot better deal than I could get on ebay.
