Robably the best tyre you can get at this price point. Excellent durability, fairly fast. Easy to fit, highly recommended
I have used the Pro3s before but not the slicks. Their 1st outing was in a 100k event, which might have been a silly move having not tried them before-hand, but they didn't miss a beat.
A pair of good quality tyres at an exceptional price - what is there not to like - top buy
Best all around tires. They last me typically 1.5 times longer than other tires. Decent flat protection. Low rolling resistance. Great price!
I thought I'd try these after reading a review on a website called rolling resistance, they rated the price/performance very highly. After a few hundred miles in a mixture of wet/dry conditions I have to say I'm impressed & would definitely buy again.
Very good tyre, although slick, works fine in wet too. Great value for a twin pack.
Hard to beat the value of these. Inexpensive and trustworthy on the road. You can ride the long group ride distances with confidence. I ride Conti GP4000's and Mich Pro4's both awesome, but have had all of my flats on them, not the Rubinos. You make your own judgement.
With over 35 years experience cycling choosing tyres can be somewhat a minefield when looking what's available in today's market. I have used Vittoria tyres over the years and the Vittoria Rubino pro slick clinchers are a tyre that won't disappoint. Not the lightest tyre by any standard but good enough for early season time trials and road races.
Exellent quality, very durable.
Been using these Rubino slicks for a couple of years now and never any problems with them and only 2 punctures in 2 years. A good all round tyre.
Been using these for 2 years now and only had 1 punture. A great all round tyre thats good in the wet as it is in the dry.
I've used these tires for years. Good all round tire, fast , sporty and fairly durable. Easier to mount than others on Campagnolo wheels. Super value.
I have always found this tyre to be just right for casual riding on good to average roads. They roll fast, are pretty resistant to punctures (have only had one one these in 2 years of regular riding) and the odd spot of bad road. At this price they are hard to ignore.
Vittoria is always my tyre of choice and the Rubino Pro Slick is fantastic! Very grippy, and being a Rubino it seems to be very puncture resistant while staying very light. As always a superb tyre from a superb maker. These were bought as a pair from Merlin at an excellent price and were delivered very quickly, great product and even greater price and service :-)
I have been using Vittoria Rubino pro slick tires for the past 2 years. They hold up well for training or racing. Nice rolling resistance and durable. Would recommend to anyone that wants a good quality tire (good product for the price).
Good fit on the rims - not too easy not too loose giving confidence that they will stay on when I go round the bend!
I've ridden these for the past several weeks and so far have been very impressed with their low rolling resistance. It's my first set of slick tires and I'm convinced that slicks are the best option for a road bike tire (under most conditions, especially racing). Leave the nobby tires on the mtn bike!
I have gotten 2 rear flats so far. However, the first was a pinch flat after I hit an unavoidable and big pothole on a group ride. The second didn't necessarily seem to be due to the tire, but I'll keep an eye on them for awhile for puncture resistance. All in all, I recommend these tires!
Best value for money bar none. Not the tackiest race tire out there, but definitely a great balance of wear and handling. I use these almost exclusively for both racing and training.
Have been out on two 60/70 rides with these new tyres they roll quite well at 130psi, they are not black/black but a very dark gray thats neither here or there, a few grams more than my summer race tyres but around have or less in price, what I have noticed they spin up a little out of the seat on steep wet sections of the road and am a little more cautious when taking bends on the way down, this is most likely due to the rubber being more wear resistant...overall very happy with them...great service and price from Merlin very fast despatch.. Just be careful on wet roads after dry periods. Cheap, fast road tire
