RoganJoshSuperb big volume fast roller. Black Chilli compound gives it predictable grip over a range of surfaces but its most at home on hardpack. Conti's new carcass made tubeless fitting easy & sealing fairly quick. Can't go far wrong for the price! Delivered really swiftly.
ParoEasy to fit, Great on light loose surfaces and not too notchy on bitumen
Mr RobinsonFor me this tyre does everything I want it to. Sticks well on slippy stuff, deals with mud well and rolls fast on the hard. I like the way it handles and at the price I dont think it can be beaten.
Mr ClarkeThis is a light, high volume tyre and German made which guarantees it is the, all important, black chilli model. The side walls are very thin so it has to be handled with care. Too much really rough rock & hardpack can result in the some lugs being ripped off, particularly on the rear. The main point regarding this tyre is the pressure. Too much and the tyre pings off everything like Bambi on speed. Too low a pressure and it will roll dangerously & pinch-flat easily...which is only to be expected from such thin sidewalls. So,ultimately, I would suggest this tyre best suits riders with finesse, who are prepared to spend the time to get their front and rear pressures just right & that will provide fast performance with good grip in most conditions, wet or dry but obviously not in substantial mud. I think that it is more of a front tyre paired with something more substantial for the rear.
Mr ChengExcellent value with huge volume for extra comfort of rear suspension. Mud shedding is not as good when clay comes into play.
Mr MISSIOGreat all around tire. Excelent for mud, very good cornering grip, and lightweight.
Mr hodsonExcellent tyres for both commuting duties and blasts over the chase, proving fast rolling so far and offering plenty of grip on dry trails, not tried muddy or sloppy riding since putting them on. All in all I'm happy with these as an all round tyre. Think the rubber queens would be back on for the winter.
Mr BarrettGreat value, relatively light, big volume tyre. Running tubeless, feels very supple.
