Great service and speedy delivery from Merlin Cycles! A great quality upgrade kit (and cheapest in the market)! I have DA9000 and this kit has allowed me to upgrade to a Di2 9070 and it has everything you need to upgrade incl. the Di2 plug tool, internal seatpost battery, charger (which you can also use to upgrade the firmware) and also all the cables required. Did the upgrade myself too!
Absolutely worth the upgrade. Lightning quick and accurate shifting. Installation was a breeze and shipping was incredibly fast to the New York area.
Service and shipping from Merlin to Canada was flawless, as usual. Some notes to be aware of when purchasing this Dura Ace Di2 kit. You'll want grommets for the frame holes, and cable ties to prevent cable rattle in the down tube. These are not included in the kit. In terms of wire length provided in the kit, I had no problems running them in a 53cm tt frame (size small). I'm sure that the lengths would also work in a size medium frame, but anything larger and you should check with Merlin. I used the 300mm for the front derailleur, 600mm for the rear derailleur, 700mm for the seat tube internal battery, 1000mm for the down tube, and the 2x350mm for the handlebar shifters.
Di2 was a revelation for me. I was one of the last hold outs in our club and a die hard fan of cable actuation. Finally moving on to electronic shifting was an eye opener. The biggest draw to Di2 for me is chain positioning chain alignment. No more ghost shifting, shifting under load, and of course ultra fast gear shift (with programming of course). Di2 is also ANT+ compatible with my Garmin520, I can see gear position, battery life, and I can use the shifter buttons to toggle the screen display on my Garmin520 Building the Di2 was intuitive and simple. With the help of a friend, I did it myself! My bike looks cleaner and cooler
I decided to treat myself by upgrading my 2014 Scott Addict SL to electronic shifting, after a team-mate told me how much he liked it. Wow, I have to say that it is amazing! Perfect shifts every time and easy to install. Highly recommended, despite the high cost.
Great service from Merlin. Went from DA 9000 to DI2, DI2 is just better in every way. You find yourself changing gears more as its so easy,, highly recommend.
Perfect. Simply brilliant and perfect gear changes. Usual Merlin faultless service. Parts come fully boxed and all you need to make that change. I have fitted this to a Scott Addict 2015 model. Compact 50/34 with 11/28 rear Cassette. I have also tried with a 11/32 rear cassette and it changes perfectly. So if you are off to the mountains then rest assured it will work with the 11/32. I also weight the parts like-for-like verses Mechanical Dura Ace 9000. DA Di2 weighs 22 grams less.
Excellent product and service from Merlin. Took my time and spend a very happy afternoon upgrading my bike it all worked first time. If they did a TT kit I would also buy that.

Everything you need to convert over to electric shifting. This kit includes the shifters (ST-9070), front (FD-9070) and rear (RD-9070-SS) derailleur, internal (inside the seat post) battery (SM-BTR2-1) & charger (SM-BCR2), the internal junction box (SM-JC41), 3-port cockpit junction box (SM-EW90-A) and the electric wires (EW-SD50). Electric wire length boxes included w/this kit are: 1 box of 300mm; 2 boxes of 350mm; 1 box of 600mm; 1 box of 700mm; 1 box of 1000mm. I was able to connect everything without trouble on my 2015 54cm Specialized Tarmac without any extra parts. I also bought the Shimano Dura Ace 9000 11-speed cassette and chain to my basket (Merlin has a great price when bought together). Shifting is smooth and crisp. Mis-shifting is a thing of the past! And to top it off, Merlin's customer service is extraordinary! Rapid shipping with door-to-door tracking to the United States (California) that gave me something to watch while I waited in excitement.
Perfect. Simply perfect. Hard to say much else about it - it's gone through enough revisions that I can't imagine this could get any better. I might even say it was fun to build. Now I just hope not to crash it!
