chrisLove these pedals! Got my first pair at Interbike a couple of years ago & been hooked ever since. Sturdy construction to withstand being bashed into the rocks here in Flagstaff & Sedona AZ, light weight and works well as a platform pedal when zipping to the bar for brews with Vans on
AkersSecond set of these for me. I am a fan. Lightweight and reasonably priced. Good to find them as they are an older model. Merlin had the best price and great shipping rates for overseas. Very satisfied, I will continue to shop Merlin going forward. Thanks!!!
Mark ShortisThis is the second pair of these pedals that I have bought, this time for a new hybrid bike. They are absolutely fool proof, no adjustment is necessary, and they are very light weight, important when you pay a premium for a light frame. The installation of the cleats in your bike shoes requires a selection of spacers provided with the pedals. I have found that the standard 1mm spacers work fine for both road and MTB pedals. The only criticism I have is that the click-in is not quite as positive as I would like compared to some other pedals, but this minor compromise against the weight and cost is a very easy decision.
Simon DI bought these after an axle on my Shimano M647 pedals sheared during a ride. I was looking for something new and a bit different. After taking a while setting the cleats up - which is a straight forward process if you follow the enclosed instructions - I took them out for my first ride. Compared to the two Shimano SPD pedal types I've used during the past few years, I think these Look pedals are a revelation. My foot feels properly supported for the first time and they feel well anchored. The release mechanism is very good too. In my opinion much better that SPDs. The feel of clipping in is a little different and it has taken me a couple of rides to get used to it. In contrast with the SPDs I've had no problems with accidental unclipping. So far I think they are a great pedal. They are light weight (compared to the Shimano M647 and the cageless SPDs) and have a good quality feel about them. Time will tell how well they last.
Mr WardenThese pedals are unlike all others I have used before (Look road, SPD, Time). I bought them for a cyclocross bike and they felt a bit insecure when clipped in at first, but I realised that they just had a different 'feel'. Now, after a couple of rides, I really like them a lot. Setting the cleats up for my shoes took a little time but having done it I know that it will be much quicker next time. They're easy to clip in to and easy to clip out of. Best of all they're so light. I've heard that a few riders are starting to use these on their road bikes for that very reason. It's early days yet but there's no problems so far. Highly recommended.
Mr WilkinsonExcellent value for the money paid, along with a first class communication and delivery service. Pedals are sturdy, light and do the job intended on my off road mountain bike. Instruction leaflet for setting up cleats on shoes was both worded and pictorial easy to understand. I'm a very happy customer !
