Castelli Gabba 2 Short Sleeve Cycling Jersey
You would never make a sleeveless rain jacket in your marketing department was seprate from the race department!
Castelli invented the gabba as a no-compromise race piece, Castelli didnt exprect it to be huge commerical success but we did expect it to give our pro's an unfair advantage! Castelli where mistaken on both accounts, especially the latter because practically every pro went and bought a Gabba and covered up to logos (for sponsership reasons) Nearly every competitive company has tried to copy the Gabba but the pro's still use the Castelli Gabba 2 Jersey.

Sizing Information for Castelli Clothing:
Castelli Size Charts

Lives up to its reputation! Perfect for autumn/ early winter cycling. With mesh vest and nanoflex armwarmers, all very snug. Waterproof so far in light showers. I'm 6'2" and took XL...perfect fit.
As good as you're led to believe! 2XL fits well on a 6'3, 42" chest man.
Excellent top that keeps you warm and dry in a variety of conditions and has a very good fit. Paired with nanoflex arm warmers this is a great combination for Autumn and even winter days.
Initially had nagging doubts re sizing but trusted the castelli sizing advice and took the plunge. Fit-wise this is perfect - The size guide said I'm an XL and that's turned out right. Sizing up, as so many others say to do, isn't necessary for this garment - it's designed to be race fit. Performance wise, it has been fantastic. Have been riding in 23 - 25 degree celsius weather and this hasn't been hot at all. It's never going to be waterproof but so far it has dealt with any light rain thrown at it. All in all, this has lived up to all the hype.
Amazing piece of apparel, feels weird to ride in so little clothing after using a jacket for the last few years. Not 100% water proof, but then it doesn't claim to be (I don't think). After prolonged rainfall water entered through the stitching in the rear pockets, and around the shoulders - however this really wasn't noticeable as the jersey just went damp, not soaking wet. One thing that is worth mentioning is how wrong the castelli size guide is. I'm supposed to be a size small according to their size guide, but I just about fit a large, and even that is a bit tight.
I'm big fan of Castelli gear and while the Gabba is expensive for the average cycling jersey it's definitely not average in performance. I've worn it down to 9 degrees in the rain so far and it keeps you warm and dry without being too sweaty. It's pretty amazing how the rain just runs off it and combined with Nanoflex shorts, leg warmers and arm warmers makes the perfect bad weather kit. Size wise I'm 178cm tall, 77kg and a 38" chest and the medium I perfect. Now looking at the Flanders base layer to go under it for the colder days. For me the Gabba is the difference between going out when the weather is bad or another dull session on the turbo......
