The classic semi-slick tyre.
This tread concept is as popular as ever and it is understandable. It is easy rolling. Corners safely. Understated looks! The RaceGuard protection belt makes Sammy fit even for the daily commute.

A great commuter tyre - bought for a cyclo-cross/Planet-X London Road -this is my second set, having worn out my first. They last really well, and grip well even in the wet along the gravel canal path and dirt tracks I use to get to work.
Awesome tires for the money. They wear out quickly on the pavement but provide a great roll.
Purchased these for my first cyclocross bike as the others that came with the bike are slicks. So far the weather here has been really dry so no chance to test them in the wet. But liking their rolling on dry hard surfaces. First venture into Schwalbes so far so good!
One of the original semi-slicks, and easily still one of the best! They wear very slowly for a cross tire, they are very fast rolling on hard pack, pavement and gravel. It is on gravel they perform extremely well do to the side lugs capability. I only wish they made them in an Evolution 127epi casing, but as they are meant to be commuter reliable it seems obvious why they chose the casing, they are also very puncture resistant as well as corner well in the wet. I will certainly keep using them!
Good quality, quiet, fast rolling tyre. Done approximately 500 road miles so far. Good at absorbing bumps on bad roads.
Great rolling tyres, with still a bit of grip.
They could be a bit lighter, but then they would replace the Furious Fred.
Overall a great and cheaper alternative to the Furious Freds, with the benefit of a puncture protection belt.
Proper fast on road performance
I mainly cycle on roads & tracks, and putting these on my Kona MTB has transformed the way it rides. The Sammys ovver little resistance, but still provide sufficient grip on most surfaces, but not so good on loose material or sand. I very pleased with them
I bought these for a tour i have coming up and sofar they have lived up to there good reviews.
Having Stans rims i have used them tubeless and they went on pretty easily as far as tubeless tyres go.
I used the Stans latex, probably about 50% extra than stipulated in each tyre and a compressor to get them on.
So far they have been on for 100miles over the past week and haven't lost any pressure.
Very light tyre, with good rolling resistance on the country roads. (running 35 front - 38 rear Psi)
Due to a decent 2.1 carcass they are also a bit more forgiving on the wrists when riding full rigid.
Can't comment on the durability as only used them for just over a week so far hence only 4 stars.
