Sram Red eTap Electronic Wireless groupset - 11 Speed
Introducing the new Sram Red eTap Groupset. With this, SRAM have taken the simple bicycle, removed everything to make it as elegant as possible, a true technological advancement.
The eTap features race-car-inspired paddle shift logic that virtually eliminates mistaking upshifts for downshifts, while keeping shifting precise, fast, and easy. It’s a logic that is simplified for speed: right lever makes it harder, left lever makes it easier, both levers to change the front ring. The revised ergo fit controls seamlessly connect rider and machine with reach adjust to fit any hand. You’ll shift more, with less effort and spend less time doing it.
- Front Mech: Red eTap front derailleur - 187g including battery.
- Rear Mech: Red eTap rear derailleur - 11 Speed - 239g including battery.
- Shifters: Red eTap shifters, carbon ergoblade levers (Wireless) - 260g for the pair.
- Batteries: Front and rear rerailleur batteries
- Includes: Charger, eTap firmware dongle, brake cables for calipers and disc brakes
Mr GiguereJust upgraded my Trek Madone from Sram Force (2x10) to Sram Red 22 eTap, along with new Sram Red chainset, chain and Ultegra cassette. I did it myself and it worked perfectly from the first pedal stroke. Being wireless, it's very easy to install and fine tuned, and I got rid of few cables. I love the feeling of the paddles and the precision of the shifting. It's like having a brand new high end bike for a fraction of the cost. Nice and well designed components. Wireless is the future.
Mr. EdensMade the mistake of riding my bro's Madone which had just been given the eTap treatment; hands down the best functional upgrade I've ever installed and the easiest to setup as well. The new hoods are so comfy and the right hard, left easy shift tap is so spot on! Front derailleur also was a pleasant surprise as proper setup allows any gear combo without cage rub unlike the Force I replaced (yes yaw 22) which I could never dial in to accomplish this. eTap is exceptional!!
