It used to be that when you went with a manufacturer's second tier group, you had to give up performance in multiple ways. Force proves that you can trade weight for price and still end up with a group that kicks ass." - Red Kite Prayer

A fantastic groupset. Installation was straightforward. Brake cable housing was missing, however, so a little disappointed. And, no brake cable caps. Fortunately I had spares on hand. The initial ride and 100+ miles since have been fantastic. The shifting is crisp and precise. The shifters are comfortable. The brakes are dual-pivot so easy to get proper alignment. All parts are good quality. I definitely recommend the investment in Sram Force. I upgraded from Rival. I've used Ultegra. The main advantage is front shifting which is clean, precise and with less effort with Yaw derailleur cage. I'm very pleased overall.
Wow! Was running Rival 22 on my Domane 5 series and the difference is noticeable; crisper shifting and the brakes with the Swiss Stop pads pre-installed are a great improvement also. Of course Merlin's price is already unbeatable and the 10% off sale was icing on the cake!
Very nice; quick shifting, better weight than Shimano Ultegra. The 52 X 36 with an 11 X 28 rear configuration will handle most anything here in the Texas Hill Country, especially if you're an old guy like me. haha
Fantastic groupset. I really like the one paddle system for gear change plus the adjustability of the levers. A tip for setting up the yaw mech. Stand behind the bike and twist the mech slightly more anti clockwise than you would normally line up. I learnt this with my Sram Red so when I bought this Force I managed to set up right first time.If I had realised Force was this good I wouldn't have spent so much on the Red on my best bike. It doesn't work any slicker than Shimano but Shimano is so dull isn't it.
Amazing value for money. In my opinion better than the SRAM Red.
After much deliberation over upgrade to Ultegra or Force 22 I decided to go with the SRAM. Having experience with the Shimano shifters I felt like improvement was possible. I absolutely love the double tap shifters. I am very glad I went with SRAM over Shimano
I think that adjustment is easier than shimano product. It is more lightweight than Ultegra of the same grade, and the feel of the material is good, too.
BEST price, fantastic shipping. This group is light, responsive and just beautiful.
I used Sram Rival 10-speed group for 3 years. I tried my friends Shimano and campy group in ride and found the Sram 11-speed group is not very popular in my city. I choose to use Sram for future few years due to: 1. using habit 2. trust of performance 3. outlook 4. price.
1. The control between Sram and other brands really different. My hand is a bit small, the Shimano shifter is quite big for my and tried to hold for a long ride, hard to brake in downhill. The Sram shifers is quite easy to adjust the reach of the levers and the hoods is more comfortable for small hands. The double tap control lets you shift easily in any condition.
2. Performance. TBH, in 10-speed, Sram not work really well to Shimano, but I still using due to its quick shifting and it feels readily, but the durability seems its weakness. I have to maintenance or say adjust it for around 5~6 rides. I can't comment on durability on the Force 22 set since I just got it for 2 weeks, and 2 ride only. I can say the shifting performance is much better. Accuracy up, speed up, specially for the front. It works well with my oval ring. I`m satisfied for it shifting performance till now, not bad compare to my friend 6800 set.
3. Outlook. The carbon look shifter looks cool and the anodized finished in others parts looks really cool for me. The outfit is quite subjective, I used to Sram groupset outfits.
4. Price. Merlin offering a significantly discount of the groupset, all pasts come with out box but with on S/N, fast shipping.
I would recommend everyone to try this Sram 11 speed groupset.
I bought this as an upgrade for the SRAM Rival that was fitted as original equipment to my Boardman. After a snapped front shifter last summer and the bike shop telling me that the chainset was worn out I decided to change it all! So far, so good. Everything appears to be working well and I really like the chain catcher that comes as standard now. The shifting is smooth and positive, and the braking is far superior to the Rival. Great price too!
The process from purchase to delivery was flawless, thank you. Tracking worked very well and the group set arrived as promised in perfect condition. As for the group set, it has performed as expected. Precise and crisp shifting and brakes work well as well. Very happy with the purchase.
Awesome groupset, smooth shifting with a bit of a snap noise from the shifters to make sure everyone knows you're shifting and to get out of the way before they get run over. As you pass they'll be mirin all that carbon and wish they had a set too. I`m coming from shimano and contemplated getting the new 6800, glad I went with these. Loving the double tap shifters
Seems everything is going 11 speed these days and as I'm an ardent SRAM user, needed something to swap the Shimano 11 speed that came on a new bike. Items are all quality as usual with SRAM and lightweight. Shifting is a lot smoother on the front (rear was always smooth) with the Yaw front derailleur.
Very nice component group! Love the yaw front derailleur and zero loss shifting!
Really enjoying everything about this group. Stays in adjustment and I like the hood shape much more than Shimano and the shifting more than Campagnolo. Would buy for the rest of my bikes if I was made of money.
This groupset is amazing! I ordered the BB30 version and it is stiff and shifts fast. The levers are very comfortable, and the double tap shifting only took about 20 minutes to get used to. The front derailleur took a little bit of patience to tune it, but now that it's in tune it works flawlessly. Plus, the entire groupset if crazy light. A weight weenies dream at a much lower price than SRAM Red.
First time I have tried SRAM and very pleased with it so far. Easy to 'install', well made, very light for the price and very crisp action.
Outstanding groupset at this pricepoint. Very light components and supplied with good quality cables. No problems setting up yaw derailleur. Nice accurate shifting across 22 gears.
Badass. I must admit the yaw derailleur gave me some trouble to set up, but now it's set up its flawless. The shifters are nice, the downshifts snap loud everyone will know you're gearing up, the crank is sweet looking and solid. The hoods are ergo and comfortable. I'm very happy.
Exactly what I needed and a perfect look and feel
I had shimano 105 and it is so much faster and better
The Sram Force 22? Pro, Smooth, accurate, easy to setup, ergonomic and innovative! Experience a pro ride everyday !
Really great groupset. Light, intuitive double tap system. Responsive braking. Quick service from Merlin too!
For 20 years I've only used Shimano on my road bikes so was nervous about the switch to SRAM. A new bike build and Merlin's fantastic price was all the encouragement I needed to choose the Force 22 over Ultegra. Thanks to Merlin's great service the box arrived the next day and seeing the contents it felt like Christmas!
The quality, functionality and ergonomics of this groupset are superb, and the weight savings over Ultegra are significant, even for us non-professionals. In fact the benefits over Ultegra put Force in its own category really, somewhere between Ultegra and Red/Dura Ace. Those top-end groupsets offer no-compromise performance that I'd argue only pros can benefit from.
In my opinion the Force 22 is the best value groupset on the market and I'm looking forward to using it for many thousands of miles.
This groupset is great. The front shifting is much improved. Having no rub and 11 speed makes it even better.
This group set is my first experience of SRAM. I'm coming form Ultegra Di2, so is a significant change.
My experience to day, from installation, setup and riding has been excellent. Was very easy to install and setup (Remember to order a front brazier clamp if you need one).
I absolutely love the single lever double tap. My winter bike has Shimano 105 and am now thinking of replacing that with an alternative from SRAM. It's smooth and precise and very easy to use.
The design and colour also complimented my bike with it's muted dusky blue and gunmetal finish on the callipers and drive set.Looks pro, and rides pro.
